Nokia Brings Premium Apps For Globe Telecom Subscribers
The Finnish mobile maker Nokia announced that it has partnered with Philippines based telecommunication company “Globe Telecom” to make its premium applications accessible for purchase for Globe subscribers in Philippines.
With the latest deal with Telecom Company, it provides Globe users having Nokia mobile phones purchase premium games, applications and much other content from the Nokia Store easily because the cost will be charged to their postpaid phone bill or prepaid load account.
Head of Nokia Philippines, Dharmesh Goshalia said that they are focused on having the right applications with the right quality to improve the experience on Nokia mobile phones. Goshalia added that the free apps were a hit with consumers but others wanted more and they found a partner in Globe, which is the first local operator in Philippines to offer premium apps to its users.
Nokia said that Globe subscriber will be prompted to download the Nokia Store app and once the users registered, they start downloading many content and apps for a wide range of Nokia devices from mobile phones to smartphones.
According to the Finland based mobile company so far, its store is seeing very good growth with over 11 million global downloads per day from the Nokia Store.
The company said that in Philippines most popular downloaded apps for 2011 were Facebook Chat, Skype, game AdventureOfTed, and eBuddy Messenger and much more.
It is also heard that the Nokia Store is also gaining considerable momentum for software developers around the world.
